Beyond Raw: The Divine Diet

Below I've included what I believe to be a truly
inspiring article. I was inspired while writing it.
The ideas in this article have transformed my life.
I hope it helps you in some way.

Did you know that you're always focusing on what
you want?

You are actually always focused on what you want.
The question is, is are you focusing on your highest
and best wants.

When you get angry, frustrated and unhappy it is
because you want to experience those states. At some
level you get some satisfaction out of it. Why else
would you think these negative thoughts, if you
didn't get some kind of satisfaction out of it?

So when you are getting angry at a friend, it is
because, in that moment you want to feel anger. Some
people really like getting angry, some people thrive
on revenge or beating people up intellectually and
even physically.

I remember I used to like these negative attitudes.
I thought I was being cool by expressing anger,
revenge etc. I never knew about the self-destructive
nature of anger. I didn't know I was attracting bad
experiences into my life because of my negative

What we must master is focusing on our higher
wants. Our higher wants bring us happiness, freedom
and a sense of fulfillment. Our lower wants bring us
fear, anger, unhappiness and failure. But they are
still wants, even if it is on an unconscious basis.

So here's a concept that goes hand in hand with
eating a raw diet. What kind of mental diet do you
consume? Do you eat what I call a Divine Mental
Diet, or do you eat an Anti-Divine Mental Diet?

Every time you feel fear, anger, disappointment,
hatred, anxiety or any other kind of negative
feeling, you are eating the Anti-Divine Mental Diet.
A raw diet is great because it is the physical
equivalent of the Divine Mental Diet. It's a diet
that naturally leads you to a more spiritually
focused life. It increases the spiritual
conductivity of your cells and the light in your

But if you counteract the Raw Food Diet with the
Anti-Divine Mental Diet then you will be killing
your progress.

If however you eat an Optimal Raw Food Diet and the
Divine Mental Diet you'll literally be soaring in
the heavens. You'll escape the bounds of the very
limited and tight feeling negative consciousness.
You'll feel an incredible sense of love and a
spiritual sense of expansion that is unbelievable.
You'll want to give love and just GIVE in general,
because it makes you feel great. And by giving you
attract abundance in all areas of your life from the
Inner Internet that we are all hooked up to.

You'll start attracting all the things in life that
you want because you are focused only on the
positive things you want out of life. Any time you
feel the fear and limitation kicking in, you know
that you have just switched to the Anti-Divine Diet.
You have literally started focusing on the things
you don't want.

Yet remember that a small and fearful part of you
actually wants you to experience negative emotions.
Your own attraction to negativity can create an
instant hell for you. If you didn't have the desire
for these things at some level then you'd never
experience these emotions at all.

You must admit that you get a certain level of
satisfaction out of getting angry. On a certain
level, anger feels good. To be angry you have to be
a victim. So this puts you into a less than powerful
spiritual state.

Can you imagine someone who has complete control of
their lives ever getting angry at someone? An all
powerful being has no reason to get angry because
they have everything they want.

That is the state that you must live from. Assume
and trust that God supplies all your needs now. You
can even say to yourself throughout the day, "God
supplies all my needs now." Or ,"I am a Divine Being
and a miracle, everything in my life is working
perfectly." Worry doesn't help you solve problems it
only perpetuates them. Focus on the solution and not
on the problem.

This is the Divine Diet in action and it requires
trust in a higher power. It can take many years of
experimentation to develop this trust. You can speed
this process up by doing the technique below.

Pretend you are Divine:

Why don't you just make an experiment and trust
God, no matter what, for a whole week. It couldn't
hurt you could it? All you have to do is to switch
to the Divine Diet as much as possible. You must of
course believe that there is some kind of Divine
Higher Power or God. But you don't have to have that
belief to start with, you can just pretend you
believe in a higher power and "act as if" it is
really there. If you truly allow yourself to do
this, I bet you will feel the awesome Divine Power
flowing through your life within one week.

By the way, I realize that some people can access
the Divine Consciousness without eating a 100% raw
food diet. I used to be able to do that, but my body
no longer allows it. My food and my thoughts have to
be aligned for me to feel my best and to be able to
easily access my Divine Self Awareness. From my
experience with hundreds of raw foodists, most of
them claim that the raw diet makes them more
spiritually attuned as well.

So if you want the best out of life, I encourage
you to eat an Optimal Raw Food Diet and the Divine
Mental Diet as much as possible.

Eating the Divine Mental Diet also makes going 100%
raw much easier. You just focus on all of the life
enhancing benefits you expect to experience by
eating a raw food diet. If you focus on the benefits
of eating raw, at all times during your transition
to eating raw then your cravings for cooked food

Think and Go Raw
Dear Health Conscious Friends,

I've come up with a new website www.ThinkAndGoRaw.com. The name as you can tell is a take off on the most famous book on success, "Think and Grow Rich," by Napolean Hill. To succeed at the Raw Food Diet requires learning the right psychological and dietary techniques. Long term and successful raw foodists have a very different mindset than you're average cooked food eater and even a very different mindset and belief system than the people who are eating an 80% Raw Food Diet.

Learning how to go raw requires changing habits and breaking lifelong addictions. Some people are good at making changes in their lives. I am and it's not because it came easy. It happened because I wanted to make changes in myself and the more changes I made the easier changing became. Learning how to change habits is a skill that anyone can learn. You just have to learn how to press the right buttons and change becomes easy to make.

Unfortunately some people have a very hard time changing. They believe there will be too much pain in changing. Or they believe they are too old. Unfortunately they are prisoners to their own false beliefs. They didn't do enough work on themselves and they are afraid of life. Afriad to change anything. This leads to a life with very little personal growth and spiritual transformation. Of course this is completely the individual's choice. I wish I could somehow let people know that chaning is easy if you just know the right buttons to push in yourself.

On the current homepage of www.ThinkAndGoRaw.com I give 27 tips for succeeding at the raw diet. How you think plays an important role if you become a successful raw foodist. (By the way, this is the first time I am using Dreamweaver and so I'm not very adept as of yet at making good looking webpages. That will come with time. Your mental diet can be just as important as your physical diet. The kind of thoughts you think dramatically affect your level of cravings when you are transitioning to a raw food diet. If you focus on what you are missing you will have tremendous cravings. If you focus on the benefits of going raw and the delicious tastes of raw food your cravings will go down at least 90%.

Then you can finish those cravings off completely by preparing a delicious raw meal and eating it. Once you are full you simply won't have the cravings if your focus is maintained on what I mentioned above.

Why go 100% raw, how to motivate yourself to do it and stick with it long term.
This is the second handout from my Raw Passion Talks. This
one was super popular at the seminar. I've also added more
detail and another valuable tip. There are 25 tips included.

Why go 100% raw, how to motivate yourself to do it and
stick with it long term.

1. Eating 100% raw gives you far better health results than
even 90% raw.

2. It's easier to stay 100% raw than 80% raw. You don't
give yourself a choice as far as cooked food and therefore
you only think about raw food options. Plus you can't give
up an addiction partially.

3. Use the prime human motivational factors: The desire to
gain Pleasure and to avoid Pain

4. Create a list of all the benefits you believe you will
receive by staying 100% raw. www.HowToGoRaw.com has a list of
over 40 powerful benefits of eating a raw food diet. Read that list every morning for 30 days and it will get you excited at
the prospects of going raw.

5. Realize all the toxins that are in cooked food. Cooked
food is poison.

6. Visualize all the sickness and disease you will

7. If you crave cooked food just eat more raw food until

9. Never focus on what you are missing out on. Don't think
about all the Pizza you can't eat anymore. Instead realize
that you can eat delicious fruits and vegetables and that
you can even eat raw pizza. There are delicious raw
substitutes for just about any food you can think of.

10. Raw foods not only taste good but they make you feel
good after eating them. With cooked food you only get good
taste, but once it gets past your throat, you'll end up
regretting what you ate.

11. Cooked food doesn't taste that good after you have been
eating only raw food for a long time. The first thing you'll
realize is that it is lifeless in your mouth.

12. The longer you go raw the easier and more natural part
of your lifestyle it becomes. It doesn't take me willpower
to eat raw anymore. That was really only within the first
month. After that I would only have sporadic occasions where
I desired cooked food. Over time that diminishes. But you
must stay 100% raw or you will get drawn back to eating
cooked food.

13. You can't allow yourself a few cooked meals per week.
The addictive nature of cooked food will have you in its
trap and you'll soon realize that you are eating close to
50% cooked food instead of your desired (say 90% raw food
diet). You can never fully detoxify if you are still
regularly allowing cooked food in your diet.

14. Cooked food is an addiction like smoking, alcohol and
drugs. It works like a drug in your body.

15. Make friends with raw foodists. Go to raw potlucks. Get
a raw food mentor.

16. Get coaching and support from experienced raw food

17. Go to talks and seminars by raw food leaders. What you
did today will take you a long way to being successful at
the raw lifestyle.

18. Learn to make one new raw recipe per week.

19. Make sure you are eating enough calories from fruit.
Most people when first going raw under eat because the extra
water, fiber and nutrients in raw foods makes them feel full
before they consumed enough calories. Many people fail on
the raw diet for this very reason. You might feel you ate
enough but are wondering why you are always hungry. The
simple answer is that compared to eating cooked foods you
are eating much less calorie wise than you used to eat. Raw
food has so much more bulk and is generally less in calories
so that you have to learn to stretch your stomach a little
to get enough calories to be satiated.

20. Be a leader. You can't worry about the opinion of
others if you want to be in charge of your health. A great
and liberating book for raw foodists and all people to read
is "How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World," by Harry
Browne. I highly recommend it.

21. Go 100% raw for at least 2 months to establish a new

22. Allow yourself the possibility of eating cooked food
again after that two month period. This way you won't feel
like you are completely depriving yourself. Cooked food will
always be there.

23. After being 100% raw for a month you'll immediately
feel the bad health effects if you decide to eat cooked food.

24. Cooked food is Anti-Spirit, Anti-Health and Anti-
Happiness: Do you want these negative forces in your life?

Raw Food Makes You Fitter & Turn Your Body into a Muscle Building Gym
Here is the first handout I gave as part of my Raw Fitness
presentation at Raw Passion in Philadelphia on Saturday.

It turns out I didn't have enough copies of my handouts
so I am emailing them out to you. I bet the people who
didn't attend would like all the handouts as well.

There are plenty of nuggets of valuable information that
may motivate you to exercise in a way that you love.

Exercise is the easiest thing to do. There are hundreds
of opportunities throughout the day for you to get some
exercise in.

The funniest line I heard from someone during this small
group session was this.

Woman: Unfortunately, I can't exercise.
Me: Why not? (Thinking she had some disease or a heart
Woman: Because I don't like exercising.

We all had a good laugh as we know that isn't a good reason
why you can't exercise. I suggested she start playing
more vigorously with her grandchildren. You'll see more
about that idea below.

Raw Food Makes You Fitter and How to Turn Your Body into a
Muscle Building Gym

The funny thing about doing an Optimal 100% Raw Diet is
that it automatically makes you in better shape than you
were before you went raw.

Within a month of going 100% raw my lungs completely
cleared out and for the first time in my life I was able to
take really deep breaths. All the air, even stagnant indoor
air seemed like mountain fresh air. The deep breathing is
naturally relaxing and I don't have to try to do it. The
breathing just became deeper naturally. Because of this new
deep breathing I am able to now jog with my mouth closed. So
much more oxygen is reaching my lungs. I never used to be
able to do that before.

I also noticed that I was lightning fast on the tennis
court. My body seemed to free up so much energy because I
wasn't digesting heavy meals anymore. I felt light as a

We still need to exercise though. It's very important for
optimal functioning of our body. Plus the exercise itself
gives you a natural high by releasing endorphins. After a
good workout you feel a sense of accomplishment as well and
that pump from building your muscles.

Exercise can and should be fun. When you go 100% raw you'll
naturally want to exercise more. It's almost as if you have
unstoppable energy levels and your body is begging you to
exercise it.

I suggest you turn your body into a portable gym. There are
hundreds of creative ways to exercise. I have a friend who
is a Nanny. She's into raw foods but she isn't really into
exercising. One day I came over to where she works.

I started playing with the children. I would pick them up
and make them fly. I would chase them around the yard or
have them chase me. You can have a great workout and not
even really notice it, just by actively playing with your
kids or someone else's. I used to chase my niece around the
house constantly. Her parents didn't have the energy to do
that the way I did. Their daughter had loads of energy. I
guess she wasn't as clogged up yet from years of poor
eating. My extra energy came from being raw and from being
in shape. Being in shape increases your ability to do work.

Exercise Ideas:

1. Use the stairs and maybe even jog or sprint up them.
2. Squats
3. Pushups: Hindu, Superman, Reg., 1-Armed, on Knees
4. Dynamic Visualized Resistance
5. Bear Crawl
6. Crab Walk
7. Burpees
8. Isometrics
9. Walk or Bike instead of driving
10. Park far away
11. Pistols
12. Bridge
13. Play a sport you like: Tennis, etc.
14. Exercise morning: on an empty stomach
15. Write a list of exercise benefits to motivate you
